Utilities will often have rebate programs that help reduce the up front cost of implementing energy efficiency projects. Rebates usually cover upgrades in lighting, HVAC, motors and pumps, compressed air systems, refrigeration and other energy consuming equipment, including custom projects. There are often very specific steps that must be followed with utility rebates, which may include pre-approval, technical documentation and other requirements that can appear daunting if you don’t have experience with the process.
